In this paper we consider Cauchy problems for two general quasilinear hyperbolic systems. We prove existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence upon the data of the relative boundary value problem, with boundary conditions which extend those studied by L. Cesari in [Ann. Scuola Norm. Sup. Pisa Cl. Sci. 1 (1974), 311-358 (1975); Riv. Mat. Univ. Parma 3 (1974), 107-131].
