Fire resistant TPU formulations containing different amounts of a melamine based flame retardant (i.e. melamine cyanurate) and nanoclays have been studied. The synergism between melamine cyanurate and clay in composites thermal stability and flame resistance have been assessed by means of thermogravimetry and combustion tests, namely LOI and cone calorimeter. Composites mechanical and rheological properties have been also evaluated.
