Abstract

The Electric Field Integral Equation method (EIFE) was already used in the literature to study dielectric resonator placed within a metallic rectangular cavity. In this paper the theory has been extended to include a cavity with circular cross-section. The analytical formulation is supported by simulation examples in which the resonant frequencies, obtained with the proposed method, are compared with those obtained by using commercial software. The results obtained show a very good accuracy of the proposed method and a very short computational time.
