In this paper we present a vector hysteron model, which is a generalization in three dimensions of the classical scalar Preisach model and an extension to the radial vector model previously published. We show that the vector model satisfies the second principle of thermodynamics. In addition the properties of the vector deletion and congruency are discussed. An example applied to a Si–Fe commercial steel is presented.
