Abstract

One aspect of philosophy of science deals with exploring the paths of scientific knowledge: in this sense the philosophy of landscape deals with understanding the reasons of landscape by means of its features. As part of a growing globalization of scientific disciplines, it is difficult to carry on a study of any kind, without an increasingly multidisciplinary cultural approach. Therefore, in earth sciences, we assist to the development of new areas of research that integrate different subjects. Geology and wine (the landscape of wine;), geology and tourism represent an unusual scope of geological-geomorphological sciences. Geo-archaeology, that deals with the surprising correlation between the present environment and the one that can be recognized in the works of art (the landscape of Perugino) and literature (the landscape of Dante) or comic strips, is part of cultural geomorphology while emotional geography and cartography offer stimulating geographical scenarios and cultural horizons of new conception. These are some of the new cultural guidelines, aimed at setting up an increasingly involving and accessible cultural platform, with a broader epistemological meaning. The landscape is a term and/ or a concept which many scholars have given definitions of, sponsored content and given representations in different perspectives. Now it is being revisited and identified as summa of its values and / or aspects: biotic and abiotic, physical or intangible, cultural or emotional, etc.. defining a synergistic Cultural System (SC). The system is therefore characterized by different Cultural Unit (UC) and/ or Complex Units Cultural (UCC) in which the many relationships between different scientific and cultural scopes with different levels of communication and language increase and evolve the ability to communicate the science and the knowledge of the territory. This can enable a new conceptual status that can better communicate the values of landscape and, in some way contribute to the concept of geo-diversity
