The research takes into account a new empirical application related to palm oil issue: the case study of environmental certification RSPO. Starting from the mandatory introduction of palm oil among the list of ingredients, as established by Regulation No 1169/2011 of European Parliament and of the Council, the study aims to analyse the strategic firms’ behaviour and the consumers’ reaction in this matter. We attempt to determine the market effects of labelling program, taking into account the case of RSPO certification. The question we aim to answer is: what is the consumer reaction to voluntary certification of firms about palm oil issue? Results show a positive impact of this new type of certification. Policy and managerial implication are emerged, in order to understand the dynamic of a new mandatory information disclosure in the market.

Abstract
Policy and managerial implication are emerged, in order to understand the dynamic of a new mandatory information disclosure in the market.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
