Abstract
In addition to GNSS satellite positioning improved with total optical-electronic station other techniques of three-dimensional surveying were used in order to complete the digi-tal survey of the Necropolis of Palazzone. LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging, laser scanning) acquired more than sixty scans in the tombs producing a cloud of points for each of them and performing a real three-dimensional scan of objects. At the end a drone (eBee of the senseFly) allowed an aerophotogrammetric survey of the area resulting in a Digital Terrain Model of the ground surface “dressed” with digital colour orthophotos. These new approaches highlight accuracies and data not otherwise obtaina-ble with the traditional survey methods.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
