Abstract

The space qualification campaign is a set of tests of utmost importance to assess the reliability and proper functionality of a device designed to work in the harsh environment of space. This work presents the campaign performed on the Upgraded Tracker Thermal Pump System (UTTPS), a device designed to perform a challenging repair of the tracker mechanically pumped CO2 cooling system for the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS-02), a precision particle detector operating on board of the International Space Station (ISS) since May 19th, 2011.
