Abstract

This paper intends to reflect on the role of pedagogy in the contemporary world, in relation to the future developments of Agenda 2030 (planet plan). Social inclusion and attention to the environment are essential to promote a responsible culture of our life on Earth. In this context, the objectives of universal sustainability have a determined element in the person as a transformative action of the world. The governments of the world need to direct their active policies starting from the person as the center of action; from this point of view, it is necessary to fight the phenomena of inequality and poverty because they are linked to the ecological crisis. Creating sustainable cities means founding new communities that are truly participatory. The solidity of institutions and peace are two decisive factors in achieving these objectives. With various philosophical and pedagogical references, the paper aims to show the central role of participatory action as agent subjectivity (Ricouer). The school can provide a very important network to create a real communication structure within the community. An inclusive practice starting from the school, with the support of families and institutions operating in the area, it is possible to fight corruption and illegality; society and the ecological environment must walk together to ensure real sustainability for the living things that inhabit the Earth.
