In the contemporary pedagogical discussion, the category of the environment becomes central as container and content of the human development. As a matter of fact, the word ‘environment’ recalls a holistic and systemic vision of reality, which binds together nature and culture, society and the Creation, calling into question the responsible action of cultivation and care by man. After the failure of the neoliberal developmental model, the entire humanity is invited to change its course, favoring a more sustainable human and envi-ronmental development, which represents new ideas of freedom, increases the sense of social responsibility and promotes a new ori-entation of the human conscience, in order to guide man into build-ing correct relationships with others and the world. It is precisely the pedagogical reflection that can offer, to an anxious and uncertain of the future humanity, the path of education planning tomorrow’s society: an equitable, inclusive and peaceful society.
