Abstract
This article deals with waveguide discontinuities that are unavoidably present in any microwave circuit either unintentionally or to the purpose of performing a prescribed function. After a brief introduction, this contribution illustrates the basic theory behind the modal analysis of such structures and their general properties. Finally a categorization of waveguide discontinuity is proposed with reference to some geometric characteristics that are related to the corresponding electromagnetic problem.File in questo prodotto:
