Abstract
The old age population is increasing progressively and worldwide. However, the number of age related diseases, including cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders as well as cognitive impairment and cancer, is an on the rise. The identification of effective “retro-aging” or “slow-aging” solutions represent a primary goal of biomedical gerontology research. Among many mechanisms and pathways underlying biological aging, telomeres represent suitable targets.File in questo prodotto:
