The design workshop from which the jewelry featured in this exhibition, took place in Assisi, the city of Peace, land of St. Francis and St. Clare, a place of great spirituality, a witness to an important interchange of human values, as well as a unique cultural tradition, and since 2000 a city inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The design activity carried out within the workshop involved the three-year course of study in Design and master’s degree in Planet Life Design of the University of Perugia, and the three-year courses of study in Design and Communication and in Fashion Design of the University of Campania ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’. Over the centuries, human history has been variously linked with interest in jewelry; in value, meaning and form they have related to the history of the customs and society of their time, undergoing radical evolutions in types and symbologies.
