The uncontrolled and extensive utilization of non-renewable resources on our planet has led to many issues that impact the environment, society, and economy. In this chapter, the major environmental issues are presented. An overall differentiation has been made based on the UN's action on the atmosphere, soil, hydrosphere, energy and industry. The focus of the present chapter is on the impact of anthropic activity on the different ecosphere.
