The article intens to demonstrate how Conversation Analysis can contribute to L2 learning and teaching. The transcripts are from video-recorded interactions between migrants and civil servants form Italy and Malta. Indeed the context of bureaucratic-institutional settings is still not enough explored and exploited for L2 education.
