This paper considers the monitoring of precipitating events through the analysis of atmospheric parameters retrieved from different instruments: Integrated Precipitable Water Vapour (IPWV) using measurements of Global Positioning System (GPS) ground-based receivers, Integrated Cloud Liquid (ICL) from a dual channel microwave radiometer (WVR) and cloud base height and backscatter using a near infrared laser ceilometer . A classification of precipitation events on the basis of seasonal variability, time duration and rain rate has been performed to investigate the short term trends in IPWV GPS data and in the contemporary time series of cloud liquid content. Also, we analyse the possibility of detecting a criterion for monitoring the occurrence of precipitative systems by means of ceilometer cloud data

Abstract
Also, we analyse the possibility of detecting a criterion for monitoring the occurrence of precipitative systems by means of ceilometer cloud dataI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
