The evaluation method of UX (User eXperience) may help Human Computer Interaction (HCI) practitioners to evaluate web and system interfaces (e-systems) with a mixed panel of users (i.e., non-disabled, older and disabled users). The evaluation of UX might enable developers to release systems without obstacles to access for all users’ needs, characteristics and context of use. This chapter aims to present the relationship between accessibility and usability, under the concept of UX in the assignation process, by discussing definitions, evaluation methods and alternative ways of presenting the user interface for disabled people. In order to achieve this goal, we present and discuss both an integrated model of interaction evaluation, as a framework for a systems evaluation with disabled people, and the concept of sonification, as a new way to develop an adapted system.

Abstract
The evaluation method of UX (User eXperience) may help Human Computer Interaction (HCI) practitioners to evaluate web and system interfaces (e-systems) with a mixed panel of users (i.e., non-disabled, older and disabled users). The evaluation of UX might enable developers to release systems without obstacles to access for all users’ needs, characteristics and context of use. This chapter aims to present the relationship between accessibility and usability, under the concept of UX in the assignation process, by discussing definitions, evaluation methods and alternative ways of presenting the user interface for disabled people. In order to achieve this goal, we present and discuss both an integrated model of interaction evaluation, as a framework for a systems evaluation with disabled people, and the concept of sonification, as a new way to develop an adapted system.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
