A survey was carried out on a sample of farms located in the area of Trasimeno Lake; these farms were conducted in the conventional manner and following EEC 2078/92 and EEC 2092/91 regulations, respectively. The survey covered grapevine, olive, bread and durum wheat, corn, sunflower, sugar beet, vegetable crops (tomato, pepper, melon) alfalfa and sorghum. The survey showed that most farms practiced a conventional agriculture, but the strengthening of technical assistance would allow a more rational and compatible management of agricultural land.
