The original FDTD formulation is scarcely suitable for the simulation of curved-boundary domain. In this work a similar scheme, extended to non orthogonal grids is presented. A considerable geometrical flexibility is attained, while retaining the same computational efficiency of the plain FDTD scheme. Some simple examples involving curved boundaries are presented to provide the validation of the method.
