The study of the structural behaviour of some particular glass beams is presented. Beams were constructed coupling glass and steel, glass and pultruded profile or alternating glass sheets with glass fibres and were subjected to bending tests. Preliminary studies regarding the formation of cracks were performed using the Digital Image Correlation technique.
