A method for constructing the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map for a nonlinear diffusion-convection equation is presented. The problem is reduced to the solution of a nonlinear integral equation in one independent variable. Exsistence and uniqueness of the solution is proven for small times via a contraction mapping technique.
