We show that finite-amplitude shearing motions superimposed on an ‘unsteady’ simple extension are admissible for incompressible isotropic viscoelastic materials of differential kind. The amplitude of these motions is determined by solving a non-linear non-autonomous differential equation for which we show that limit cycles are possible.

Abstract
We show that finite-amplitude shearing motions superimposed on an ‘unsteady’ simple extension are admissible for incompressible isotropic viscoelastic materials of differential kind. The amplitude of these motions is determined by solving a non-linear non-autonomous differential equation for which we show that limit cycles are possible.File in questo prodotto:
