The paper proposes a modification to the diffuse-field theory for predicting room sound fields. A particular method, based on a g weighting number, allows for a better guess of reverberant energy density in a room, depending on the source and the receiver position. Experimental validations and applications of the new model are also presented. The new model could be used in room acoustic design applications, with the correct choice of materials and their positioning in the room.

Abstract
The paper proposes a modification to the diffuse-field theory for predicting room sound fields. A particular method, based on a g weighting number, allows for a better guess of reverberant energy density in a room, depending on the source and the receiver position. Experimental validations and applications of the new model are also presented. The new model could be used in room acoustic design applications, with the correct choice of materials and their positioning in the room.File in questo prodotto:
