Abstract
This paper presents the physical implementation of an active mass driver system for response control of a scaled-down five-story frame structure. The prototype actuator is fabricated by coupling an electric torsional servomotor with a ball screw that converts the rotational motion of the motor into the translational motion of a small mass. Experimental results of free and forced vibration tests are presented and a systematic comparison between theoretical and experimental performance of the control system is carried out.File in questo prodotto:
