This research is done in close collaboration between the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale of the Perugia University and Fiat Powertrain Technologies of Pomigliano d'Arco (NA). The main task of the research is to identify and formalize "innovative design methodologies” useful to highlight any possible problem due to the possible vibrations of a new gear box command system also in the early-design stage of this component. In particular, we focused on the so-called phenomenon of “shift lever vibration” (vibration of the control leverage of the shift in the car body) that can occur if a natural frequency of the control system is excited by a movement of the sleeve gear in the gear box. In this memory we will present two different types of multi body models developed to predict this phenomenon: the first simpler one is useful to “predict” the shift lever vibration in the design stage of the main components of the gear box control while the complete multi body model is also useful to take into account all the non-linear phenomenon aspects.

Abstract
In this memory we will present two different types of multi body models developed to predict this phenomenon: the first simpler one is useful to “predict” the shift lever vibration in the design stage of the main components of the gear box control while the complete multi body model is also useful to take into account all the non-linear phenomenon aspects.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
