The author analyses the juridical position of incestuous children in the Italian legal system, also in connection to the sources of EU law and to the European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR). In particular, the article is focused on: a) the relationship between incestuous and acknowledged children, in the light of the recent law no. 219/2012, which gave them equal rights; b) the succession of the incestuous children, in connection to the rights awarded to all children by the Italian legal system (so called “successione necessaria”).
