A sedimentological and stratigraphic study of one of the most continuous and thick Paleozoic succession in Central Iran (Anarak Succession) has been done. The collected data allowed to define the stratigraphic architecture and to reconstruct the evolutive steps of the depositional environment. The environmental evolution was strongly controlled by relative sea level fluctuations related both to tectonic and eustatic causes.
