This paper starts from the presence of Tiberianus' second poem and the Aegritudo Perdicae, which are both about Africa, in the same manuscript. On the basis of some textual analogies between Tiberianus' Aurum, AL 21 Riese and the Epistula ad Fidolium, attributed to Columbanus, this paper proposes the hypothesis that the poem by Tiberianus might have been tranferred from Africa to Bobbio.

Abstract

This paper starts from the presence of Tiberianus' second poem and the Aegritudo Perdicae, which are both about Africa, in the same manuscript. On the basis of some textual analogies between Tiberianus' Aurum, AL 21 Riese and the Epistula ad Fidolium, attributed to Columbanus, this paper proposes the hypothesis that the poem by Tiberianus might have been tranferred from Africa to Bobbio.
