Free vibration of axially loaded functionally graded (FG) sandwich beams using refined shear deformation theory is presented. Sandwich beams with FG skins homogeneous core and homogeneous skins FG core are considered. Governing equations of motion are derived from the Hamilton’s principle. Finite element model (FEM) and Navier solution are developed to determine the natural frequencies and critical buckling loads of FG sandwich beam for varying volume fraction, core thickness and boundary conditions of sandwich beams.

Abstract
Free vibration of axially loaded functionally graded (FG) sandwich beams using refined shear deformation theory is presented. Sandwich beams with FG skins homogeneous core and homogeneous skins FG core are considered. Governing equations of motion are derived from the Hamilton’s principle. Finite element model (FEM) and Navier solution are developed to determine the natural frequencies and critical buckling loads of FG sandwich beam for varying volume fraction, core thickness and boundary conditions of sandwich beams.File in questo prodotto:
