Induction of oestrus in the Beagle bitch by a combination of naloxone and calcium.

Many studies to determine opioids effects have used the opioid antagonist naloxone determining . In the present study we investigated the effects of a combination of naloxone and calcium administered daily in anestrous bitches in terms of vaginal cytology, behavioural estrus and hormonal pattern. the treatment with naloxone and calcium was able to induce normal estrus cycle in two of five treated bitches.
