Hairy cell lekemia-variant (HCL-v) is an indolent mature B-cell neoplasm, distinct from HCL and characterized by shorter survival and poor response to purine analogues. Both HCL and HCL-v are CD11c+/ CD4103+, but CD25 is usually expressed only in HCL. The present study provides the first evidence that the poorer prognosis linked to germline or lowly mutated IGHV4-34 rearrangement in HCL-v can also extend to disease transformation.

Abstract
Hairy cell lekemia-variant (HCL-v) is an indolent mature B-cell neoplasm, distinct from HCL and characterized by shorter survival and poor response to purine analogues. Both HCL and HCL-v are CD11c+/ CD4103+, but CD25 is usually expressed only in HCL. The present study provides the first evidence that the poorer prognosis linked to germline or lowly mutated IGHV4-34 rearrangement in HCL-v can also extend to disease transformation.File in questo prodotto:
