The article analyses the construct of reflexivity in a pedagogical perspective interested in understanding the value of education in fostering emancipative and self-direct learning processes. The main results of a research involving students of the course of Pedagogy of University of Perugia will be discussed. The research investigated the ways of self-assessment implemented by the students to promote and to validate the learning processes in which they were involved.
