Mathematics&Real Life in a national project of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Perugia, which promotes the interaction between real world and Mathematics as a driver for didactical innovation. We present here the journey of light ([1-4]) as a prototype of didactical approach which combines mathematical knowledge and skills with the understanding of natural phenomena, the evolution of history and scientific thought and modern technology.
