This paper presents a flexible simulator for Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI) in the frame of spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) over maritime scenarios. The simulation tool provides GMTI performance metric in terms of probability of detection, extracted from an off-line database generated through intensive Monte Carlo (MC) simulations, overlaid on top of synthetic SAR-GMTI processed images. Different system configurations have been evaluated considering Along-Track Interferometry (ATI), Displaced Phase Center Antenna (DPCA) and Extended DPCA (EDPCA) GMTI techniques.
