The processes arising from globalization – extraordinary technological progress, development of intangible services, financial economy – have created new social cleavages between workers-not workers, workers- workers, workers-capitalists. Inaddition, the crisis of the Welfare State has added a new cleavage between established – non established. The political fallout of such fractures in Europe shows a great fragmentation of political offer, with many different parties (both old and new), characterized by complicated redefinition of its discursive nuclei of social integration. It seems that, to avoid the simplistic and illusionary recipes of the past, the disruptive challenge of global financial actors can be collected only by parties that are able to develop similar international political networks with organic and common discursive nuclei.
