The presence of parents within the school has, as a matter of fact, positive implications in terms of learning, personal growth and social development of children; furthermore, it represents a valuable opportunity both for the families and for the schools. For these reasons, the participation of foreign parents should as well be encouraged and supported, as a new educational challenge. The school may, in fact, become a place of meeting and lively exchange between the families, an active laboratory of shared values, able to break down the barrier of cultural bias, thus encouraging social integration.
