Two innovative single-ridge waveguide to rectangular waveguide transitions with integrated 90-degree E-plane bend are proposed. Since a single-ridge waveguide standard is not available, such components become necessary whenever this technology is employed. Wideband performance, extreme compactness and easy manufacturing are core characteristics. The presented devices operate at Ku band, though the designs are fully scalable to any other frequency band of interest.
