The present work regards the analysis of glass sheets reinforced by unidirectional GFRP, in order to realize tensile resistant structural elements obtained by the joint of glass sheets and fibers. An experimentation based on the bending tests was carried out on unreinforced and reinforced samples of float glass, heat strengthened glass and laminated glass. The tests have shown the advantage obtained by the application of the GFRP. On the basis of the experimental results, for the purpose of carrying out a series of numerical simulations designed to evaluate of the stress in the reinforced elements, a finite element numerical modelling was done.
