In this research letter we provide e reply to the paper by Fiessler et al Association between month of birth and melanoma risk: fact or fiction? Int J Epidemiol. 2017) and show with old and new analyses that seasonality of birth for skin melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers do exist and is not a consequence of bias or flawed study design. Neonatal exposure to UV may be responsible of the increased risk of adult skin cancer observed among persons borh in spring.
