OBJECTIVES. The aim of this study is to present a case of Brugada syndrome in a patient requiring oral surgery. A review of the literature is also provided. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The case of a 28-year-old man with Brugada syndrome is described who underwent the extraction of the third molar. A review of the literature was also carried out to study the management of oral surgery in these patients. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS. No local and/or systemic complications developed following oral surgery; at one week and three weeks follow-up, a good healing of the surgical wound was observed. The review of the literature underlines the difficulties in managing a patient with Brugada syndrome during oral surgery, and the necessity to keep a high clinical suspicion against this pathological condition.

No local and/or systemic complications developed following oral surgery; at one week and three weeks follow-up, a good healing of the surgical wound was observed.
