Brunello Cucinelli is one of the most important Italian Style entrepreneurs. He is the most sensible exponent of the ecologic and humanistic vision of labour studied and described by Richard Sennett. Since 1978 Cucinelli is engaged in the exciting project of building a humanistic enterprise, putting at the centre of his mission the working wellbeing of his collaborators and the creation of a business community that is, historically, inspired by another brilliant Italian businessman: Adriano Olivetti. The medieval burg of Solomeo in Umbria, is the backdrop for his dream projected with concreteness into the future. Cucinelli completely restored the burg, built a theatre, parks, social spaces, organized a factory and annexed services, putting at the centre the workers’ needs. In the essay, space is given also to the currently underway projects of Brunello: the creation of a School of Arts and artisan Crafts; a Neohumanistic Academy; the creation of a Laical Contemporary Oratory to help children grow up with a healthy and multiethnical view on life; the requalification of Solomeo’s valley’s landscape through the demolition of ugly factories reconverting the area into a sustainable and biological agricoltural production site.

Abstract
In the essay, space is given also to the currently underway projects of Brunello: the creation of a School of Arts and artisan Crafts; a Neohumanistic Academy; the creation of a Laical Contemporary Oratory to help children grow up with a healthy and multiethnical view on life; the requalification of Solomeo’s valley’s landscape through the demolition of ugly factories reconverting the area into a sustainable and biological agricoltural production site.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
