This contribution discusses the results from a working group on the topic “Autobiography and education” within the Symposium ‘Dialogue in Autobiography’ held in Anghiari on December 7, 2019. The educational practises concerning memory, reading, narration and autobiographical writing have found an important and growing place in formal and informal education, especially over the last twenty years. Since 1999, the Free University of Autobiography in Anghiari training school has organized courses and events for students to learn and gain a wider knowledge and skills regarding autobiographical pedagogy and teaching methods. This contribution is authored by three professors from different pedagogical areas (historical-educative, teaching and pedagogical- social) and discusses theories and formative strategies for promoting learning and self-training processes, i.e., making history, reading, life-writing and community sharing. This poses a challenge for a new humanisation, moving from education to the stories.
