The second MPI workshop was organized to discuss the EGEE support for parallel applications on the Grid. The workshop has been organized as a collaboration between the int.eu.grid and EGEE projects. The presentation contributed to highlight the current issues in the support made by the EGEE middleware Glite to the user parallel applications that are using MPI APIs. The feedbacks from COMPCHEM users has been really helpful for providing an efficient MPI support on the EGEE Grid.
