In the framework of a research on the theory of history in Vico, and on its resonances in the work of E. Betti, this section of the essay focuses on the Neapolitan cultural context, in which Vico worked, between the second half of the seventeenth century and the first of the eighteenth century; and to analyze the first works of the great Neapolitan thinker, especially De nostri temporis studiorum ratione.

Nel quadro di una ricerca sulla teoria della storia in Vico, e sulle sue risonanze nell'opera di E. Betti, questa sezione del saggio si occupa di mettere a fuoco il contesto culturale napoletano, in cui Vico operò, fra la seconda metà del Seicento e la prima del Settecento; e di analizzare le prime opere del grande pensatore napoletano, specie del De nostri temporis studiorum ratione.
