The ecosystem value of trees in the city: the Chico Mendez park in Perugia The LIFE CLIVUT “The climatic value of trees in cities" is an Information and Governance project to develop and to implement a Green Asset Strategy for the management of the urban forest optimizing ecosystem services. The project foresees the active involvement of administrations, urban planners, technicians and citizens, to evaluate and to highlight the contribution of each tree to the improvement of the environment and public health and to realize a shared planning and management of urban green areas and natural spaces. A Web App has been created for the plant data collection on public and private green areas. The functionality of the application allows to process data for the calculation of ecosystem parameters for each tree such as CO2 stored, PMI captured, and the UHI mitigation effect.
