Archaeological investigations carried out in Gravisca, Etruscan harbour of Tarquinia, have revealed extraordinary evidence of depositions linked to the divinities honoured in the sanctuary. In particular, the paper aim to present some rituals of abandonment, individuated thanks to the association between stratigraphical evidence, artifacts and bones of sacrificed animals. Finally, one of these sacred contexts has been studied using a multidisciplinary approach providing for dialogue between the humanities and the so-called "exact sciences”. In this way, it was possible to define the period of the year in which it took place and the different phases of the ceremony.
