Abstract
Steel and concrete composite columns display a favourable behaviour in a fire environment. In the present paper the main parameters which govern the fire performance of this interesting structural typology are reviewed in order to deduce simplified design tools. With this aim, a methodology of analysis for evaluating the ultimate bearing capacity of concentrically and eccentrically loaded composite columns under fire is presented, taking into account also the II-order effects.File in questo prodotto:
