This paper presents the power quality analysis of power converters for hybrid and solar electric airplanes. The interface between the photovoltaic panels and the airplane grid involves several converters to make available both the DC and AC power supply on board. The power factor, harmonic currents and the voltage ripple, measured for a power rectifier considered as a case study, are evaluated taking into account the standard requirements for the avionic environment.

Abstract
