The work refers to the response sensitivity of models for the regionalization of flow data. It is preceded by a brief analysis of the problems regarding regionalization and on the most significant contributions in this area. Two different models of differing complexity and completeness are then proposed: in the first, the estimating of the model parameters takes into account both the hydrogeological characteristics of the basin by means of a base flow index (BFI) and also the morphological characteristics; the second, more simple model, uses only the basin’s morphological characteristics. Finally, the deviation is shown between the two approaches aimed at estimating the daily flows of a stream and the estimation of the overall volume of the flows. The study was conducted in the Tiber River basin, using a considerable amount of hydro-geomorphological data included in the Basin Plan formulated by the Tiber River Basin Authority.
