Abstract
Advanced mobility management is a key issue to provide nomadic users with QoS-enabled services, in the future Internet. To improve Mobile IP performance, a crucial role is played by the discovery and selection of the access router to handover to. This procedure is of great importance to enable other additional mobility-related protocols to speed up handover. This paper presents and evaluates a novel approach for carrying out this task, based on a fully distributed process, which also allows timely inter-technology handovers.File in questo prodotto:
